The Rebuilding Room

For women who know that what they have lived through has shaped them, but do not want it to have the final say over what they build next.

Six Tuesdays from 12 January 2027 7:00 to 8:30pm UK, live online 8 to 10 women

Applying does not commit you to anything, and your answers are private. Applications close 11 December 2026.

Where this begins

You have spent
a long time surviving

Managing. Holding things together, often for everyone but yourself. And somewhere along the way you started to notice something. The same patterns keep appearing. The difficulty saying no. The fear of taking up space. The sense that you are building your life on ground someone else laid, a long time ago, without your say.

You are not broken. You have been building on a foundation you never had the chance to inspect.

The Rebuilding Room™ is a space to inspect it. Gently, in your own time, alongside other women who understand.

What this is

Six weeks,
one Foundation at a time

A small, closed group of women meeting online. Together we work through The Foundation Framework™, a structured, trauma-informed approach to understanding what shaped you and choosing what you build next. The order matters. Each week rests on the one before it.

Week one

Blueprint

What shaped me?

Beginning to see the experiences, relationships and messages that formed how you see yourself, without letting them define who you are.

Week two

Bedrock

What am I built on?

Looking honestly at the beliefs, thinking, perceptions and influences you came to accept as simply the way things are.

Week three

Cracks

What are my patterns showing me?

Noticing the patterns that keep appearing, with curiosity instead of criticism. The crack is information. It is not you.

Week four

Truth

What is actually true?

Telling the difference between what happened, what you concluded because of it, and what is true enough to build on. This is not positive thinking. It is more accurate thinking.

Week five

Rebuild

How do I build differently?

Turning insight into one small, real change. Not your whole life. One brick, laid differently.

Week six

Legacy

What will I pass forward?

Deciding what stops with you, and what you want to carry into how you live, parent, work and treat yourself from here.

You leave with more than reflection. You leave with a plan for something you are ready to build differently, in your own words.

How the room is built

A space to think,
not a place to relive

You will never be asked to tell your story, describe what happened to you, or share anything you would rather keep private. You can pause, pass, reflect quietly, or simply listen, in any session, at any point. That is not a concession. It is how the room is built, and it is written into the group agreement everyone signs before we begin.

This is coaching and reflection, not therapy. It is not crisis support and it does not replace specialist help. It is a structured, supportive space to understand your patterns and make intentional choices, held by someone who knows this territory from the inside.

Who is holding the room

Raj Holness

I am a mindset and trauma-informed coach, speaker and author, and I have my own lived experience of rebuilding after abuse, coercion and trauma.

From 2017 to 2022 I created and ran Building From Broken Pieces, a six-month programme for women who had survived trauma, domestic abuse, forced marriage and trafficking. It attracted National Lottery funding in its later years. The Rebuilding Room™ grew out of that work, distilled into a focused six weeks.

Is this for you?

It may be, if you

  • recognise that past experiences still shape how you think, respond and relate
  • keep finding yourself in the same patterns and want to understand why
  • struggle with self-worth, boundaries, people-pleasing or self-doubt
  • have spent years functioning, and now want to understand yourself more deeply
  • know something needs to change but are not sure where to begin
  • want a structured way to reflect without being defined by what happened to you

You do not need to call yourself a trauma survivor to belong here. You do not need to have it all worked out. You only need to be ready to look, and willing to build.

This may not be the right time

And that is completely okay

If you are currently in crisis, in immediate danger, or in the middle of acute distress, a group programme is not the right kind of support for that moment. That is not because your experience is too much. It is because you deserve support that fits.

If you are in immediate danger or acute distress, please do not wait for anything. Contact emergency or specialist support now. If you are in immediate danger, call 999.

When you are steadier, and if this group feels right for you, you are welcome to apply then. There is no wrong answer, and no rush.

The founding cohort

The first time this runs

This is the first time The Rebuilding Room™ runs in this six-week form. The women who join this founding cohort help shape how it grows, through their feedback and their experience of it. Because of that, founding places are offered at a reduced rate.

£397

Standard price from the next cohort: £497. You can pay in full, or split it into two.

I will also ask you, at the beginning and at the end, how things are for you, using a short check-in. That is how the next version gets better, and it is how I will be able to say honestly what this programme does.

To join

It starts with a short application

It is not an exam, and there are no right answers. It simply helps make sure the room is right for you, and that you are right for the room, before anyone commits. That care helps support privacy, trust, and emotional safety within the group.

  1. You complete a short application. It takes about ten minutes.
  2. If it would help, we have a brief conversation, with no obligation on either side.
  3. If it is a fit, you are offered a place and can pay in full or in two parts.
  4. You complete a short onboarding form and the group agreement.
  5. Your welcome pack arrives before we begin.

Applying does not commit you to anything, and your answers are private. Applications close 11 December 2026.

Questions

Things women ask

Will I have to talk about what happened to me?

No. Not in the first session and not in the last one. The work is about what you notice now and what you want to build next, not about recounting the past. You can take part fully without ever describing what happened to you, and nobody will ask you to.

I think I have already dealt with all this. Would it still be useful?

Very possibly. Understanding what happened and understanding what you concluded about yourself because of it are two different pieces of work. Many women arrive believing they have done the first and find the second is still waiting.

What if I cannot make one of the sessions?

Life happens and one missed week does not undo the programme. I will send you the relevant workbook material and a brief summary of the session theme. Individual replacement sessions are not included, and sessions are never recorded, because nobody can be certain where a recording ends up.

Is six weeks long enough?

It is long enough to inspect the foundation, see your patterns clearly and lay one brick differently. It is not long enough to rebuild a whole life, and I would be misleading you if I said otherwise. The workbook is yours afterwards, and there will be further options for women who want to keep going.

Do I need to keep my camera on?

Yes, cameras stay on during our sessions. In a small closed group, being able to see one another is part of what builds trust and keeps everyone on the same footing. It helps the room feel present and safe, rather than anonymous. If you need to step away or turn your camera off briefly on a hard day, that is understood, but staying visible is how the group works best, and it is one of the things I ask everyone to agree to before we begin. I do ask that you join from a private setting where other people cannot see or overhear.

Can I contact you between sessions?

Yes, within clear boundaries that I will set out at the start. Between-session contact is for brief programme-related questions, not counselling or crisis cover, and it is not monitored outside my working hours. Where something needs more support than I can offer, I will signpost you to an appropriate professional or specialist service.

What happens to what I tell you?

Your information is held securely and used only to run the programme and support you within it. I require strict confidentiality from everyone in the room, so that nothing shared inside it is repeated outside. I take that seriously and will address any concern, though I cannot absolutely guarantee the behaviour of every participant. The one limit I set on my own side, which I will always be straight with you about, is that if I become seriously concerned for your safety or someone else's, I may need to act on that.

How does payment work, and what if I need to cancel?

You can pay £397 in full, or in two payments of £198.50. The first payment secures your place. Full booking terms, including payment dates, cancellation rights, and refund conditions, are provided before you pay, so you can read them in your own time before committing.

What if I apply and it is not right for me?

Then I will say so kindly, tell you why, and point you towards something that fits better. A no from me is about timing and fit. It is never about you being too much.

A last word

You have carried the weight of what happened to you for long enough. You do not have to keep building on ground you never chose.

There is a different way to build. It starts with looking honestly at what is underneath, and it is easier to do alongside women who understand.

When you are ready, the room will be here.
