“Little did I know, this was just the beginning of the twisted nightmare he had planned for me. By now this had started to become more regular, where out of the blue he would verbally hurl something from my past in the middle of a normal conversation, or while we were laughing. His words twisted and manipulated my thoughts, and I realised that he had been playing me all along. He wasn't who he claimed to be, instead, he was a master manipulator using every tool at his disposal to control me and my emotions. It terrified me to think that this was all happening with someone I trusted implicitly.”
